During the month of November, enter for a chance to win a .22 Benjamin Trail NP XL1100 hunting air rifle, courtesy of Crosman Corporation.

Hunting with an air rifle is a serious test of marksmanship, and powerful, accurate airguns like the Benjamin Trail are giving more and more hunters a high-percentage chance to try it.

Benjamin_Trail_NRA_Logo.jpgFeatures of this handsome, break-barrel rifle include: a hard-hitting 28 foot pounds of muzzle energy; shot velocities of up to 1100 fps; a two-stage adjustable trigger; a thumbhole stock; widened fore-end; and a custom, laser-engraved NRA logo. It weighs just over 8 pounds and is 48 inches in overall length. A CenterPoint 3-9x40mm scope completes the package.

“Participation in this NRA program provides a fantastic opportunity for us to reach hunters and educate them about the viability and enjoyment of hunting with airguns,” said Crosman Vice President of Marketing Roy Stefanko. “The Crosman Nitro Piston technology built into this rifle makes it capable of cleanly and accurately taking bobcats to raccoon-sized game out to 30 yards.”

“This is a hefty, made-for-adults air rifle that proudly displays the NRA logo,” said J.R. Robbins of www.NRAhuntersights.org. “With small game season upon us and Christmas right around the corner, the timing of this giveaway couldn’t be better. We deeply appreciate Crosman’s continued support of NRAhuntersrights.org.”

Suggested retail for the rifle and scope is $330, though it is not normally sold with the NRA logo.  For more information on the Benjamin Trail and all of Crosman’s fine offerings, visit www.crosman.com.

To enter the November 2012 Gift Giveaway, send an e-mail to huntersrights@nrahq.org and write “Gift Giveaway” in the subject line. Entries will be accepted now through Nov. 30, 2012, and a winner will be announced Dec. 1 on www.NRAhuntersrights.org.

I am 72 years old and had a 22 cal. Benjaman pump in my early teen years. I loved that gun but lost it when I loaned it to my Aunt's boyfriend and he wrecked his car. Someone stole it and I never saw it again. I think I paid around $15 for that rifle brand new, but that was a lot of money back then. Sure would love to win this great looking rifle for target and small game hunting. I really appreciate the craftmanship in the wood and the overall quality.

I have not hunted with an air rifle yet, but would like to try it. I think it would be quieter and not scare off other game. It would be very interesting and would not bother neighbors while taking care of varmits.

I got my little cousin a red rider 3 years ago and he loved it. I taught him about gun safety and the basics of shooting and work with him all the time. Recently he has been asking about mounting a scope to the red rider and I told him it is impossible. He was disappointed, shortly after that I saw this ad and thought it would be great! Thanks for the "shot".

Dear Sirs And Ma'am s, Hi, My name is JoDee Kuttner and I am woman! (Hear me roar?) I want this air rifle with a passion that burns so hot it makes the sun jealous. I have a small dog named Cutie-pie that has the gentlest soul that I have ever encountered. She is just a little furry bundle of gentleness and love. She has been with me for six years. She was born March 19th 2006. She adores me and I her. I always go out with her to make sure she is safe. A few weeks ago, I let her outside and turned my back for a second to wave at the neighbor. It is a good thing I only turned for a moment or my wonderful little dog would be dead now. The moment I turned my back, two evil, crafty coyotes broke cover and charged her with the intent of killing her, probably for food. They were about the same distance from her as I was. I instantly started sprinting towards her screaming. (No small feat as I am 56 and disabled with an acute spine injury) Cutie-pie cringed low thinking she had done something wrong and thank God she did and not try to run from me. Those coyotes were only a few feet from her when they changed their minds and decided that I might get them before they could get away with their prize. They hit the woods and stopped. There they just stood and looked on as I hurried my frightened puppy into the house. Since that day, I have to carry her outside. She is too afraid to go on her own. I WANT THAT AIR RIFLE! I am praying that I win it every single day. My poor puppy is terrified to be alone in her own yard. While they looked at us from the treeline, I noticed that one was very thin and you could see that she had been nursing puppies. The other one though, he was a fat, mean looking brute that rarely missed his share and probably hers as well. He glared at me angrily with a look that accused me of stealing his food. He is the one with the great big bulls-eye on his forehead, right between his beady, evil little eyes. Thank you for your consideration! Sincerely, JoDee Jean Kuttner
